A crash involving three lorries in South Lanarkshire has closed the southbound lanes of the main motorway linking Scotland and England.
The A74(M) was shut near Junction 14 close to Crawford after the accident at about 03:00 on Tuesday.
One lorry is believed to have hit the central reservation and two others were then involved in the collision .
A diversion is in place but drivers are warned it will add another 16 miles to their route.
The southbound lanes are expected to remain shut for much of the morning.
